I host a CHRISTMAS EVE function with about 15 lovely guests..
And as I have been "SO NOT INTO XMAS" up until today....
I am NOW motivated..
SO the theme for my kitchen is "mercury glass"/silver etc inspired..
Soo working on lots of it today...FROM.....
a gorgeous little star garland scattered around my Baker's stand..
(I MUST SAY i do have a wonderful time at those kind of $2.00/reject shops..)...
I purchased 3 x glass carafes...(reject shop buys at $2.50 each)..
Filled them with little mixed silver baubles...($5.00 pack of 12 from coles)..
tied some ribbon/faux glass string around rim..(reject shop buys)..
BIG star garland...$5.00 Coles...
BIG SILVER bauble WREATH...$20.00 COLES...
faux mercury glass candle holders...x 3...about $2.50 EACH...Reject shop...
filled another with my silver string of "stuff" i had already..
filled another glass jar with silver tinsel.........
(which i hate...but looks okay STUFFED into a glass jar??)..
Tied a nice little white star to my silver serviette holder complete with silver/white serviettes...
serviette holder....$5.00 (reject shop)...
serviettes pack of 12 from Coles..
So a lot of what I have done today...
embellishing/decorating ALL comes from the REJECT/CHEAP/$2.00 type shop & COLES..~~!!
mixed with SOME of my own leftover Xmas goodies through the years!!~~
Not long until Christmas ....
NOW i have to get my MOJO to buy pressies!!~~

Hi Andrea
Looking good!
I'm not into decorating yet, I hope I find my MOJO very soon!
No kids at home now and no Christmas Dinner at our place this year, maybe I'll not bother decorating at all...?
Have a good day
Gail xx
Oh I do love silver. Your decorations are certainly getting me in the mood too.
I have to go to Coles on the way home and grab one of those serviette holders. Love the idea and the Reject shop and $2 shops are my favourite haunts too.
Hi Andrea,
Ohh so many pretty pieces at bargain prices.
I'll have to come shop with you one day!
Hugs,
Anna
Looks fabulous Andrea.
Great combo of things
With Amy's baby being born on Thursday I just hadn't had time to do anything. As the family were all coming to our place Sunday for a BBQ dinner to welcome Michael home from 1 months army training and welcoming sweet Holly to our family I thought I better throw the christmas tree together. The little ones loved it and always look for the bauble with their name on it.
They also have a reindeer with their name on it stuck in the hedge that lines the path to our front door.
