MY WEEKEND VINTAGE FINDS...

Hello ladies.....

well i did have a great weekend with my hubby home driving me around FLEA JUNK market hunting...

found lots of lovely goodies....from linen...to rose tins...curtains....ballet prints...old "ship" tray...GORGEOUS VINTAGE hoadleys chocolate box...rose print...etc etc...

NOW trying to list on ebay....!!! which takes me forever to photo...accurately describe!! in between the camera's battery going FLAT

anyway....

ps...guess who is coming home for a few days over easter??

YES!!! my 23 yo son who is at uni interstate...YIPPEE!!!

(shall have to get his bedroom cleaned/dusted...put some little BUNNY RABBITS on his bed....?? chocolates that is...)....OOOHHH!

he still likes little gifts placed on his bed when he comes home?? magazines...etc..

well...probably MORE to the point is thatI LOVE to put lots of pressies for him when he comes home??

A maternal thing I think??

GOTTA LOVE "FRENCH GENERAL" & KAARI MENG!!

Hello ladies...

Well being a LOVER of all things FRENCH.. I JUST love anything "FRENCH GENERAL"...

Kaari Meng's books are just soo beautiful....FULL of gorgeous photos...ideas...templates...recipes..

(if only I could sew...??? well i did sew once upon a time but the machine is stored away & I am actually TOO scared to venture sewing again??

In the past I did make some golliwog dolls & some naive quilts when I had my gift shop...& hey....they did sell...so maybe I just need to bite the bullet...get it out..& TRY AGAIN!!! the bobbin always used to get caught which kind of put me off)..

although probably MY fault!!

ANYWAY...I savour Kaari's books....& I also ADORE The PARTY PAPERIE she produces..

12 invitations.....12 envelopes...12 place cards...12 menu cards...

(I am having my mum & dad & their TWO OLDEST friends for lunch on THURSDAY...& intend to use these as a BIT of FUN for them...BOY their COMBINED AGE IS about 340 YEARS!!!).... I KID YOU NOT!! ALL in their LATE 80's!!!

menu is corned beef...mash potatoes....peas...carrots...cabbage....gravy...

desert....Lemon buttercake...with king island cream...& few baby easter eggs put in a little bag for them all to take home to nibble!!)

I have also used some of the placecards in a white frame i have had for several months...was going to put Cath Kidston material in it....BUT thought these cards look pretty good...??

MY NEW CHANEL GOODIES..& A FEW OTHER BITS & BOBS!!

Hello ladies..

Well i am VERY excited with my latest little purchase which arrived with a RING of the doorbell this afternoon...

I am a devotee of ALL things CHANEL...

I have soo much perfume....body lotions...talcs...

BUT I just HAD to purchase their latest TATTOO range!!

Vicki from FRENCH ESSSENCE actually first brought this to my attention via her blog a few weeks ago...

No success trying to buy it online via any Australian Chanel store..

SOO i reverted back to good old ebay...& purchased this adorable set from..

PIXIE-GIRL785...ebay seller from the USA...

WOW!!! I think i purchased this last Sunday...& arrived today (friday)...great speed from the USA...

She says she has sold MOST of them to AUSSIE buyers (as we cannot seem to get them here)...& she only has a few sets left...

SOO I reckon these LIMITED edition CHANEL goodies will be WORTH a LOT more in a few years???

Apart from that...of course I did my tennis today...& YES IN HEAT....AGAIN!

MR Christian is still quite sick so I have just pureed a minestrone soup for him to try to devour!!

& whilst down "the street"..just HAD to buy this LOT/Bunches of soft material FAUX ROSES....to use as a display re my ebay listings...

& THEY WERE JUST SOOOOO CHEAP....I have them sitting next to my computer on my little EBAY TABLE (as i call it)...just kind of admiring them...

& HEY....SOOTY'S eyes look a whole lot better this week?? not sure what happens there??

okay ... off to list MORE stuff...go vintage flea junk market hunting tomorrow...(only if MR C is feeling better??.....otherwise the OLD motherly thing kicks in...& I DO NOT VENTURE TOO FAR AWAY)...

LOOOVE MY FRENCHY CHIC RUSTIC NEW PRINTS...

Hello again ladies...

still very HOT here in Melbourne with about 32 degrees again today...

& YES i have done tennis in it yesterday (32 degrees) & today....!!

I do think I will HAVE to give up one session ... & cut back to 3 x times per week...

4 x times for one hour in this heat is leaving "THE OLD GIRL" a tad tired!!

BUT then again...I was on a mission after tennis today..so maybe i am NOT as tired as I "pretend" to be??!!!

Did a few op shops...found some great goodies..(another post)...

& found some GORGEOUS FRENCH CHIC...(well I think they look tres francaise??...rustic/rural)??? canvas images....(NOT from the op shops...but from another little favourite haunt of mine!)...

I have kept a set for myself...the others are listed on ebay...(of course!)...

I have had MR CHRISTIAN very sick with a 40 degree temp over the last few days..so have just made him some soup...

My poor nearly 21 yo baby!!!

have a great rest of the week & shall blog again soon..!!!

HOW CUTE IS THIS LIPSTICK!! PEN??!! kind of like a "GET SMART" GOODIE!!!!

Hello ladies....

Not too much happening this end of the world...

Although we DID have AN ENORMOUS thunderstorm last saturday here in Melbourne..SOO much damage in the city & some suburbs...

Luckily I had NO damage...just a power loss & foxtel kind of carked it for a while as well!! (before the actual power loss)..

I bought this sooo cute little PEN yesterday which looks like a lipstick!!

(every morning I frequent a local coffee shop & or 2!!...read the paper...ENJOY A FLAT WHITE...& do the cross word in THE HERALD SUN paper..)

SOO NOW I have this CHIC little PEN tucked into my glasses case..(cannot read anymore without my prescription glasses!!)...

So i am kind of placing the pen next to my coffee...making it look like I am about to put lipstick on...

YES!!

THAT I AM THAT VAIN!! at 8.30 am in the morning!!...& VOILA!! OFF pops the PINK top....& it is my PEN to do the CROSS word..!!

I bought MUM the same but with the RED top...& I gave it to her placed on a wonderful VINTAGE sepia photo of her when she was in her 20's..(now nearly 88 yo)...

LITTLE BIT OF FUN...don't ya think???

ps...MY gorgeous SOOTY...(my 11 yo toy poodle...my BEST buddy is slowly going blind...His right eye has literally really just clouded over this past week! he is starting to bump into the stairs trying to hurry up them...

BUT dont worry SOOTY...I will look after YOU forever!!

GORGEOUS SCRUFFY SUNFLOWERS & CUTE LITTE GRAPES!!

Hello ladies..

THURSDAY'S YUMMY FINDS...

WONDERFUL BUNCH OF "SCRUFFY " SUNFLOWERS....(lavender & sunflowers are MY FAVOURITE flowers...!!! as well as ROSES)...

Plus a CUTE LITTLE group of "currants"....I am just going to PLONK them in my mouth...

ALL IN ONE GO...(well kind of!!)...

SQUISH THEM....& ENJOY them...... YUMMY!!!

AND I LOVE the colour purple of the grapes..against the BRIGHT YELLOW of the sunflowers...???
