PREPARING FOR MY "ENGLISH AFTERNOON TEA PARTY"~~

Hi ladies,

Well i am still busy as usual and still caring for dad re his knee (past posts)..

I think he is healing well, so we shall find out for sure when we see his surgeon early december..

In between, i am busy preparing for a "biggish" english afternoon tea party ~~

I have approx 12 guests..~

ALL shop owners here in my little part of the world..

ALL GORGEOUS LADIES.....so I cannot wait to host them....

SOO I am preparing EARLY....

but i have LOTS of commitments in between....

SO my MOTTO is better early than late~~~

So I have been busy re arranging my kitchen today...

including lots of my own painted goodies in the bottom section of my hutch~~

My table is FULL OF STUFF~~~  where to put it??

anyway..a little peak of what i have been up to today...

(and i will be off to Japan the following Sunday for a few days to visit MR B)..

a hectic life...

but kind of interesting??

GORGEOUS NEW SHOP IN MY LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD!!~~

 Some time ago I did several posts on  "new" shops which had opened up in my little corner of the world.

Sadly, some have now closed down but others have opened and I am delighted to showcase some photos of the latest NEW shop which has begun trading...

"EMBRACE .....life, love & happiness" is a totally breathtaking little boutique shop opened by a very "old" friend of mine....Gina McVicar.

In fact, many a year ago, both Gina & I had retail shops virtually sitting side by side in our little bayside  village...
Gina's was the beautiful garden themed shop...whilst mine was the gift/interiors/golliwog specialist shop..

We happily traded for approximately 10 - 12 years before we both decided there was life after retail!!!

ALAS, Gina has decided there IS life in retail again.!!!

She has opened a beautiful boutique themed shop....specialising in soaps/candles and lots of other delightful goodies to excite your senses..

Far TOO many brands to list~~~

Her knack in creating the MOST GORGEOUS displays flows easily for her..

So please visit this beautifully presented store FULL of amazing goodies if you are lucky enough to visit our little bayside village~~~(website coming soon)...

GORGEOUS MIXED CROCHET MEDALLIONS!!~~& I AM OFF TO JAPAN~~~

Well i took dad to the surgeon this last thursday..
His knee is healing slightly, but still in a splint for another 4 weeks.....


TIME flies, as it is 7 weeks since dad tripped & split his knee cap...


SOO of course i am home taking care of dad~~!!


AND dyeing & cutting up LOTS & LOTS of crochet cloths~~


lots & lots of lovely medallions ~~~


All listed on my ebay site...


It gives me a good excuse to sit & cut up cloths whilst looking after my gorgeous 88 yo dad!!~~

PS....I will be going to JAPAN in MID DECEMBER for 5 days to visit MR B....
(MR C will be looking after dad if he still needs it!!)..~

BIRTHDAYS!!!~~CRAFTING~~~COOKING~~ ALL HAPPENING~~~

So I have been very busy with LOTS & LOTS of "STUFF" (as i call it~~)..


Lovely dad is still staying with us in his splint...
I take him for x rays tomorrow (wed) & to his surgeon on thursday , to see if his knee cap has mended itself...


SOO ALL FINGERS crossed...


So in between looking after dad, I have been doing my usual...~~


Dyeing LOTS of crochet medallions for my ebay site..!~~


Painting & stamping LOTS of "dolly pegs"~~~~


stamping lots of my " gift tags" with a FRENCH CHIC theme..


french stamping some nice pink material "petals"~~


My mum is 89 yo tomorrow (2nd nov)...
So i am busy preparing to make some cupcakes for her...


PER frankie mag & recipe..(photos)..


And I am ready to makeover a GORGEOUS RETRO cane MIRROR which i purchased in a BLUE..


MMm~  shall paint PINK???
