HOME DUTIES TUESDAY!! RE ARRANGING & MORE RE ARRANGING!!!

Thanks ladies for your lovely concerns re my dad's knee operation...He is still quite "groggy" when i speak to him/visit him..

I guess that is to be expected with a BIG new KNEE operation at 86 years old..

But of course I am still really worried about him & miss his DAILY trips to my house..sitting in his chair reading the paper whilst I am on the internet nearby...& with lots of friends "tooting" their horn at him as they pass by our house..

I took him in a big bowl of STEW & heaps of BIG BANANAS on saturday...so I think he is gobbling them up!!

SOO when I am stressed...I just have TO CLEAN...(okay I clean even when NOT stressed)!!!~~~~

BUT today was one of those days where I have shifted/moved lots of stuff around..from framed photos...to my "dried roses"...

& I have started on my "MAD MAX" display...A wonderful ICONIC AUSSIE MOVIE...which is very close to my heart....

soo..thats been my day...GORGEOUS SUNNY weather...PERFECT! late AUTUMN MELBOURNE DAY~~~~~~

ps...a friend of mine has a gorgeous chic little FRENCH shop in williamstown called "THE WHITE ARTICHOKE"...she has JUST started a blog today...HER FIRST ever...& hasnt got it ALL organised as yet...

Guess who is giving her advice?? (YEP ME!!...no wonder its NOT organised!!)!!~~~

BUT her shop is SOOO Cute...FULL of GORGEOUS goodies...AT A great price...

SO it would be awesome to have a little peek at her blog...& support her over the next week or so whilst she gets it organised...& looking FAB....

MIXED VINTAGE CROCHET DOILEY/DOILIES THURSDAY.!!..

Hello again ladies...well I am KIND of getting a bit MORE enamoured with MY new laptop!! (there could be a few cough & splutters associated therein...BUT we shall persist..)..

OKAY....well today...I am a tad STRESSED as my gorgeous nearly 87 yo old DAD has gone back into hospital to have ANOTHER NEW KNEE operation...

whilst typing this he will be under going this op....

Last year he had a new knee op (on his other knee)......& got a bleed...lost 2 kgs...& was in hospital for 3 weeks...

SOO I am totally dreading DAD having HIS other knee operated on..

Even though he swims 3 kms every morning....& is as fit as a fiddle...GORGEOUS LOOKING MAN....TRUE GENTLEMAN...WW2 PILOT...

I am worried sick...& doing other stuff to fill in time until the surgeon rings to say it has all gone well...

I am sitting here...forgetting really what i was originally trying to blog about?

HERE GOES!! NEW POST WITH NEW LAPTOP??? TRYING..!!!~~~

Hello everyone..well i am still getting accustomed to my NEW APPLE computer re last post.. (just bought the "mouse" today which makes it much easier for me~!!)..

hubby has set the computer up for me BUT I havent had time to book in any lessons yet from the "apple" store...so that will be an interesting experience...!!...

I am just soo scared...as I am worried I will NOT remember anything they tell me..!!

& this from an ex lawyer...jee wiz...I have become very scared of learning new stuff in my 53rd year...(is this NORMAL??)...~~~~~

But i DID manage to get the nice chic roses edging on my new blog I am trying to list...

"The Vintage Hatbox"......(which will eventually match my new internet store)..

BUT I CANNOT GET the header to match it...

even hubby couldn't do it!! SHHHHH!!

soo ANY help with that would be APPRECIATED!!!

anyway with having this fab new piece of computer... I am in the process of cleaning up the table i work from at the front of my house..

SOO today i have shifted the chic candlelabra I LOVED on this table to another position in this room..

bought a nice little office tray thingey to stand beside my table/laptop..with several drawers containing bills to pay...ebay stuff...tape measures...aussie post guide..etc etc..

placed mags to read..

mags to list on ebay.."

books I LOVE...etc & other lots of bits & bobs on my "computer table"..as I call it!!

HEY!!!! it CANNOT BE A BLANK canvas ..that is NOT MOIS!!

I have to HAVE STUFF on a top of a blank piece of furniture!!!

I have even hung some little tin birds i have had for ages from the faux berry arrangement..

I changed all my bookcases around re my "FRENCH" books/magazines etc...

SOO this is MY first post with my new computer...I have been struggling to kind of find where I have kept the photos??

on my OLD computer they came up in a "date" folder...& I could look at ALL of them and pick & choose which ones I wanted.

With this computer...I am NOT sure where I have put them...so I am just going through all kind of "jpeg" images...(which isnt showing me their image)..so I am just clicking on what I think i can remember photoing in order??

NOT very effective.....SOO that is something I need to work on...

AND I have tried to delete photos I have duplicated...I did press "delete" & thought they had gone...BUT I have messed this up......

Soo please bear with me..

apologies for repetitive photos...MMM!! how to DELETE...is my next hurdle??

I thought holding down the "mouse" & pressing the delete button would do it??

Obviously doing something VERY basically incorrect.....

shall ASK the MEN of the house when they get home!!

ANYWAY......~~~~~~~~~~~~

OMG!! LOOK WHAT I JUST GOT FOR A MOTHERS DAY PRESSIE!!

Hello ladies..

Well whilst sitting at my little "possie" at the front of the house doing my "ebaying" on my laptop I noticed a TNT delivery van pull up out the front...

My immediate thought was what has MR CHRISTIAN (21 yo son) bought now?? no doubt with MY credit card....lol..

Well!!

it was FOR ME....from MR Byron...(eldest son)...

a mother's day pressie...in a big cardboard box...WHAT IS IT??

I AM TOTALLY gobsmacked...

I am NOW the NEW OWNER OF AN "APPLE" widescreen laptop computer!!

YEP...that is what Mr B bought me as a pressie for mothers day....

I had been whingeing & whining to him for ages about how my current computer keeps shutting down every two minutes!! slight exaggeration!!...

Cannot do what I kind of know i could do artistically speaking??...

SO I now AM totally terrified that I have to learn NEW technology...

BUT I AM assured by BOTH byron & hubby (who has several MAC computers)...THAT.....

I SHALL BE A NEW WOMAN...(blog/ebay site/own web site etc)...

SO STAY TUNED & see how I cope with MY NEW FANCY LAPTOP COMPUTER...

I have my new business name registered...

KNITTED CUTE BERET FOR MUM TODAY!!!

Hello ladies...well i have been wanting to knit my mum a beret for Mother's Day next sunday as my MUM just LOVES her fashion..shoes/hats/clothes..

AT nearly 88 yrs old..SHE IS A real fashion ICON...guru...I wont go there!

I just recently bought her two fabulous crochet BIG OVER THE TOP berets from an ETSY seller from the USA... which she ADORED...& wants me to buy MORE in different colours...!!!

ANYWAY WHILST sorting through "stuff" to sell in my ebay room I found a pattern I had bought last year from SPOTLIGHT..

it was a package with 4 x skeins of wool with a pattern sheet to knit a beret/scarf/bag/dog coat...whichever tickled your fancy....

MMMM!! loved the BERET pattern as the wool is thick...needles are a big size 10!!

SO whilst sitting at my computer listing some bits & bobs on ebay today I knitted this beret for mum.

I have just sewn it up...adorned it with flowers I had knitted last year re little bags I was knitting...(they are still unfinished!!)...

& VOILA...

I am quite happy with the outcome...& myself in THAT..

I actually finished knitting it..

sewed it up....

embellished it..

& took photos...

(took one of me looking totally stupid...BUT very hard to photograph yourself in a mirror...SO THAT IS MY EXCUSE....just showing it to highlight the Hat...NOT the wearer )...!! being a bit SILLY!! with the tongue poking out!!
