Had heaps of VINTAGE white hankies...& bought some white cotton edging..
OKAY...this was an AD HOC....spur of the MOMENT..
"how do i make a bunting with VINTAGE hankerchiefs??
I placed the "cotton" edging flat....pinned 5 x vintage hankies thereon...(i ironed them to be in half...so the FULL hanky is used per each "flag")...
My sewing machine is tucked away in my wardrobe & i havent used it for at least 12 years...
And YEs I am a total woos & far too scared to bring it out to try to sew anything..
SOO I sewed all the hankies by HAND...
finished off with VINTAGE cream/white buttons along the way...
This is the first of a FEW mixed lot I am intending to make for my SHABBY FLEA JUNK FAIR in AUgust....
I am quite happy with the result...(& the fact that it is hand sewn!! cough cough...that makes it legitimate in my eyes..NOT PERFECT...if you get my drift)..
anyway...what do you think??
ALL comments are welcome...
ps...dad is still hobbling along...fingers crossed his new surgery next week is succesful...

Clever1 Love the girl in the skirt detail so very delicate!
I think that is honestly the prettiest bunting I have ever seen Andrea. And hand sewing is perfect for a vintage project.
Just beautiful!!
