HAND SEWN VINTAGE WHITE HANKERCHIEF BUNTING!! I HAVE BEEN BUSY!!

Hi ladies....another little goodie i worked on today...!!~~~~~

Had heaps of VINTAGE white hankies...& bought some white cotton edging..

OKAY...this was an AD HOC....spur of the MOMENT..

"how do i make a bunting with VINTAGE hankerchiefs??

I placed the "cotton" edging flat....pinned 5 x vintage hankies thereon...(i ironed them to be in half...so the FULL hanky is used per each "flag")...

My sewing machine is tucked away in my wardrobe & i havent used it for at least 12 years...

And YEs I am a total woos & far too scared to bring it out to try to sew anything..

SOO I sewed all the hankies by HAND...

finished off with VINTAGE cream/white buttons along the way...

This is the first of a FEW mixed lot I am intending to make for my SHABBY FLEA JUNK FAIR in AUgust....

I am quite happy with the result...(& the fact that it is hand sewn!! cough cough...that makes it legitimate in my eyes..NOT PERFECT...if you get my drift)..

anyway...what do you think??

FEW MORE LITTLE THINGS FOUND/WORKING ON..LOVING VINTAGE SCRABBLE LETTERS..

Hello again ladies... a LITTLE snippet of what I am doing...(lots more in the pipeline!!)~~~~

dad's knee has NOT progressed as expected so he has to go back into hospital to have it manipulated to see if they can get it to bend...(in 2 weeks time)...

so with that in mind & being stressed I am staying at home with him & doing MORE & MORE stuff for this fabulous JUNK FLEA MARKET fair in August..! in MELBOURNE...

I have this new found LOVE of vintage SCRABBLE letters. I have played around with them with some blackboard paint/gluing...frames I had..& making little "phrases" on the mini easels i also have ..(per last post)...

I found a lovely roses "painting" today at the op shop...per photo..

Adding bits & pieces every day to my stall....I am optimistic it will look totally FABULOUS!!!~~~????????? cough cough...!!!!!!!!!

BUSY PREPARING FOR THE "JUNK" FAIR.PAINTING/GLUEING~~~~

Hi ladies....

Well with dad still recouperating at my home I am able to just stay at home and get some items painted & organised/prepared for my stall at the JUNK MARKET extravaganza FAIR in AUGUST....~~~~

So in between looking after dad...I have NOT listed anything much on ebay BUT am focused on this fair.

So photos show what i have been doing...

1...repainted 2 x op shop chairs...(were a horrid blue)...painted white & recovered cushions in French chic fabric...

2...repainted an old OVAL photo frame..embellished it with rosettes & buttons..

3...painted with blackboard paint HEAPS of little artist canvases..with easels...& packaged with ribbon/piece of chalk etc...

4...GREAT slim cabinet..was wooden..I have painted it white...embellished with a sweet BOW ..... painted inside of doors with blackboard paint..(so you can write messages etc)...lots of shelves to display goodies...

SHE has turned up a real beauty!!~~~~~

SOO LOTS LOTS MORE happening...thought I would give you a little preview..

MORE JUNK MARKET DISPLAY..VINTAGE ALPHABETS!!~~~

Hello again ladies...

Well whilst at home & not venturing too far with dad still living with us...(OOPS...he nearly kind of toppled down the stairs before)..SO i havent been anywhere or doing anything exciting...

AS DAD is MY number ONE priority!!... he is still progressing VERY slowly compared with his other new knee last year...

BUT whatever it takes...I shall look after him...~~ (as ANY daughter would do)..

BUT i am happily preparing for the SHABBY JUNK fair blogged about previously..

SOO today I was organising SOME VINTAGE SCRABBLE LETTERS...

in little words/phrases...from..

Vintage....Shabby....Chic...Flea...Junk etc etc...

This little lot is a 1950's scrabble set...

with RED lettering....

so I have bought some RED cardboard...placed the relevant "THEME"/"lettering"/phrase".. on top...& covered with clear wrap...

SOO another little lot of goodies ready for the FAIR in August!~~

SO with Dad home...it is kind of good I am focused on this fair!!!!

I have a STALL & am kind of getting myself organised....maybe a TAD early..
