LOVING MY LATEST CREATION! EASY PEASY!!

Hi again ladies....

Oh well...kind of following on from my last post re re organising the kitchen..

I had a BLANK spot where i moved a goodie from one spot to another...

MMM!! what to put there??

had a "thing" in my mind...so went to Highpoint shopping centre after my...& may I say VERY HARD tennis session in 34 degree heat...(YEP..i am a crazy gonzo!!)..

anyway...went to the ART shop.....purchased a blank (thick canvas)...various sized alphabet & number STENCILS...

(hey was going to paint the letters...BUT BOUGHT BLACK TEXTAS in differing NIB points/thickness.....)/..

Worked out as going along what I wanted to "say" on this canvas...

(not just railway stops...but I had to put SOOTYS name...my favourite CAPITAL cities...etc etc)... OOPS SORRY SYDNEY...(next canvas!)...

Then painted the outside border in black paint...

kind of lightly washed bits of black paint all over to give that "WORN..shabby...USED Effect"...

I am MORE than happy with it .... hanging in the kitchen...

& I reversed the USUAL ones you buy...(they are black with white lettering...
mine is white with black lettering))...!!!
going to do two x SMALLER little ones to place around this one..
so what do ya think???

I think you can tell I have had HEAPS OF FUN creating this little goodie!!

More creativity happening this weekend...(bought lots of stuff to RE DO the upstairs rooms re a previous post/cushions/prints etc etc.....will be subject of a future post!!)....

have a lovely "CREATIVE" weekend ladies...!!...

WOW! That is unique!
The sky is the limit as to how they could be personalised.
I wonder if you could make up a template/stencil with your words and roller the words on with paint ???

Oh, I love this! I have seen similar ones on Etsy with the London underground stops and New york suburbs on them for $55USD! No way would I pay that! But this is awesome, I am going to do one now with all the places I have been to. Thanks Andrea for the inspiration!

Great canvas Andrea and I like that it is in reverse colours.
