LOVING THICK FOG DESCENDING AT DINNER TIME..~~

Hi ladies, well i have been busy again today packaging my crochet goodies to list on ebay!!

But i am sitting at my little computer possie...

at 4.45 pm Tuesday afternoon AND.....

COOKING roast chickens/potatoes/carrots etc for DINNER ~~~~~

BUT whilst listing this little post the BIG THICK FOG is fastly descending upon me...

CANNOT see Melbourne town...

the docks...

AS I blog this BIG FOG is slowly, but gradually engulfing me/Melbourne..

I LOVE IT....the Container ships coming in to dock in Melbourne are blowing their horns..

A very mystical sound in the horizon...

in the fog...

SOO this has been/ is a totally fabulous glorious mystical kind of Tuesday evening~~~~

as i type...the ships horns are still blowing in the background against the now total block out fog..

I LOVE IT~~~

GELATI CUPCAKES? NO, ITS GELATI THEMED CROCHET CENTRES!!

Today I have been very busy cutting up a vintage tablecloth, in fact I have cut no less than 360 CROCHET CIRCLES!!~~

Over the past weekend, I cut the cloth up into three sections..

dyeing one lot PINK...

the other green...

leaving the rest its natural cream colour..

I especially love the little extra "raised" bits on the centre of each circle, so that adds to their appeal for ladies who use them for crafting purposes..

Now I am about to list them on ebay , but their grouped together display on my cupcake holder looks like some kind of "gelati" cupcake fest!!

I also received the latest edition of Jeanne Darc magazine, so in between cutting (and may I add my tennis lesson), I have been distracted by the never ending GORGEOUS photos/ideas in this edition..

Ohh!! to wrap a rustic loaf of bread in some burlap/lace/string & give as a gift for a luncheon???

OR to makeover wonderful dressmakers' dummies...

JUST some of the lovely ideas featured..

PLUS not to mention the LATEST ARTFUL BLOGGING magazine arrived from the USA..

& MOLLIE MAKES from the UK..

so I am in MAGAZINE heaven....

ps..sorry about pictures..I still cannot get my camera to focus properly (is on some kids & pets setting which I have NO idea how to fix!!~~

SATURDAY'S HAPPENINGS!!~~ MIXED LOT..

Hi ladies,

well i have been a tad busy this Saturday listing goodies on my ebay site..

my computer keeps shutting down when trying to list goodies..

so I have to re start etc..

still NO good..

SO I rang my technical support...

my son in QLD....

he told me a few little tricks, so I do hope it works a LOT better now..

So this saturday is just listing stuff...

including some more Jeanne D'arc magazines..

crochet bits & pieces...english laces..

MIXED LOT of STUFF!!!

AAAHH!!! selling some of my JEANNE D'ARC LIVING mags on ebay??!!

Hi ladies...

I have had a very busy Sunday...

finished cleaning the house & putting away "leftovers" from the SHABBY VINTAGE JUNK EXTRAVAGANZA..

It is AWESOME exhibiting at events..but then putting your goodies which didn't sell in a possie in your house takes effort!!

I had originally DUMPED them in my middle room...they are now ALL in my "EBAY" room ready for me to go through & list on ebay...

SOme I have already listed..

BUT ALAS whilst cleaning up...

I do think I need to clear out some magazines (re a few posts ago).

& with a LOT of reluctance...

I am listing some of my GORGEOUS TO DIE FOR JEANNE D'ARC magazines on ebay...

I CANNOT KEEP EVERYTHING...?? or will i regret it??

CAMELIA FLOWERS..ROSEMARY..DRY GUM..NICE KITCHEN CLEAN UP TODAY!!

Well i have been a very busy little bee today giving my kitchen a GOOD GOOD clean..

It does become soo YUKKY...greasy?? or is it just ME??

So to add to the NICENESS of the kitchen...

I have cut/& or kind of just pulled off!!! yanked!!! some GORGEOUS BIG WHITE CAMELIA flowers from a tree in full bloom outside our entrance hall/stairway..(per photo)..through the long window..

Plus cut some bunches of rosemary from our backyard.....mixed with some dry GUM i had...

VOILA...cheap little floral display...with a nice little smell about it as well..

WEDNESDAY'S MAGAZINE DILEMMA??

Hi ladies, hope you are all well and if in Victoria/Melbourne, keeping warm in this horrible COLD weather...??

Anyway, whilst listing lots & lots of goodies on my ebay site, i am left pondering about my HUGE LOT of magazines I have stored away in bookcases in situ behind me.....

ranging from DONNA HAY..HOME BEAUTIFUL...COUNTRY STYLE..COTE SUD...COTE OEUST...INSIDE OUT..ROMANTIC HOMES...VICTORIA...etc etc.

THE list rolls on & on...

I love them...

but how often do i read them??

are they just sitting there looking pretty??

If i remove them...what shall i replace them with?? more books?? more magazines??

Are YOU too a magazine HOARDER?? LOVER?? cannot bear to part with them??

i would love to know what you think/do?? with all your vintage mags...

ps...havent even shown you my upstairs bookcase FULL of more mags!!

FACEBOOK??? BLOGGING?? WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT????!!

Hi ladies..well I am one kind of a confused "old woman"!!~~

I thought I had my blogging site kind of under control & looking okay??

BUT i figured all other blogging buddies have a FACEBOOK site...

so I have kind of started that up...

NOT sure what I am doing on that site...

NOT quite sure what I am doing at all really ??

NEVERTHELESS i am cooking a BIG piece of corned beef for dinner tonight..

that I know for a fact...!!

& with cabbage/carrots/mashed potatoes/peas/gravy...

IT shall be a delight....

AT least I know what i am doing with dinner!!~~

SNEAK PREVIEW OF STALLS AT THE "SVJ" EXTRAVAGANZA!!

Well i have just arrived home after some SEVEN (7) hours of organising my stall for the SHABBY VINTAGE JUNK EXTRAVAGANZA beginning tomorrow...

This 7 hours includes loading the van up...driving to the venue...unloading and setting up...(which by the way I still have NOT finished)...

Very glad I still have a few hours in the morning to complete my stall..

Anyway, I WAS TOTALLY GOBSMACKED by my fellow vendors' stalls..

I can GUARANTEE that this is THE MOST AWESOME and ONE OFF EVENT of its type in AUSTRALIA...

The "sets" Tamarah & other girls have built to house their wares is quite mind boggling..

The array of wonderful vintage stock on sale from my fellow vendors is AWESOME...

Soo I am just showing a few photos from some of the stalls...

some girls have finished completely...

others are halfway through their display...

Miss Tamarah is busy pricing all her gorgeous goodies, in between blowing up hundreds of white balloons??

photos of my stall are the last ones, with the white marquee..(set the frame up but i had forgotten to bring the white top...OOPS..)...

lovely hubby drove back home to get it for me~~!!
