VINTAGE BOOK MAKEOVERS & PINK PEG THURSDAY!~~~

Well I have been quite busy today after my "trauma" at the dentist yesterday..

Okay...I am exaggerating....~~~~

I go to the dentist every 6 months and in ALL my nearly 54 years have hardly ever had any work done to my teeth..

I take pride in nice clean healthy teeth/gums...

BUT alas i did have a crack in my very back tooth (which had been fixed many a year ago)..

but had eventually gone "AWOL" this year...~~~

SO I did have to have a root canal...

I CANNOT begin to tell you HOW totally scared I was...(i thought I would rather give birth!!)..

well maybe not??

(hey its been 22 yrs ago since Mr C was born so maybe i have forgotten about having kids?? even though that labour was a mere 2 hrs!! & he was 9 POUNDS at that!!!)....

ANYWAY~~~~~~~~~~~~

my new dentist was AWESOME...I felt nothing...& he kept re assuring me...& telling me what was happening next..
NOT to mention he was quite a cute 40 something YOUNG man!!~~

Okay...enough of THAT !! slap my wrists..

I have been busy today painting LOTS of PEGS a nice SHABBY PALE PINK..
Stamping...
Bundling together to sell ....

& experimenting with some VINTAGE books...

Painted 3 x PINK...sanded back & embellished the spine with some replica bits of VINTAGE postcards...

(I had some gorgeous postcards a while ago...& I had them copied at office works....SO AS i had a heap of them.)..

I have cut up the roses part...mod podged....sealed...(along the SPINE)...

Experimenting with how it looks...then tying with something??
NOT sure what yet...

ANYWAY...that has been my Thursday..

cheers andrea

I think dentistry has come a long way in recent years Andrea. I bet that root canal hurt your hip pocket more than your mouth!!
A very productive Thursday.

I was the same about the dentisit but when I did pluck up the courage it wasn't as bad as in the 'olden days' lol
