MUMS 86TH GOODIES COOKED..TABLE DONE..READY TO GO..

HI AGAIN LADIES....WELL LAST POST WAS ABOUT WHAT I THOUGHT I WOULD DO RE MUMS 86TH BIRTHDAY ON SUNDAY..I HAVE NOW FINISHED IT ALL AND HOPE SHE LIKES IT..

I WENT SHOPPING FOR "EBAY" GOODIES THIS MORNING..AND CAME HOME WITH LOTS OF GOODIES WHICH I HAVE TO LIST..BUT OF COURSE MUMS BIRTHDAY TAKES PRECEDENCE..SO I HAVE SPENT THE AFTERNOON COOKING SOME GINGER CUPCAKES..AND JUST SOME PLAIN VANILLA TYPE ONES..

MUM LOVES GINGER CAKES..SO SHE SHOULD BE PLEASED WITH THESE AS I TASTED THE MIXTURE LEFT OVER IN THE BOWL..AND IT WAS VERY GINGERISH!! TO SAY THE LEAST..

I HAVE WRAPPED ALL HER PRESSIES..AND DISPLAYED IT ALL ON THE TABLE...READY FOR HER TO COME HERE TOMORROW EXPECTING NOTHING MUCH!! (I SHALL PUT THE CAKES IN A PLASTIC CONTAINTER IN THE FRIDGE OVERNIGHT..DONT WORRY ..SHALL NOT BE LEAVING THEM OUT)..
SPRINKLED SOME FRESH ROSE PETALS THROUGHOUT THE TABLE...(I DONT THINK THE NEIGHBOUR WILL MIND MY LITTLE BIT OF POACHING..THEY HANG OVER MY FRONT GARDEN!!)..

I ACTUALLY DECIDED NOT TO USE THE GLASS JARS FOR THE ROSES...I ALSO LOVE KEEPING LEFTOVER TIN CANS..FROM SOUP/TOMATOES ETC...STRIP OFF THE PACKAGING..DISHWASHER THEM CLEAN...AND THEN I ALWAYS PUT LAVENDER/ROSES ETC IN THEM...AND I JUST HAVE TO TIE A BIT OF RECYCLED TYPE STRING AROUND THE MIDDLE..

SOMETIMES I THINK I HAVE FUNNY LITTLE QUIRKS..BUT I JUST LOVE THE WAY IT LOOKS..NICE BUT AD HOC AT THE SAME TIME...NOT TOO FUSSY..BUT KIND OF NICE!!

ANYWAY..I ACTUALLY WORE THE APRON MY ELDEST SON SENT ME FROM JAPAN (RE THE CATH KIDSTON POST FOR MY BIRTHDAY A FEW POSTS AGO!)..I DONT USUALLY WEAR AN APRON IN THE KITCHEN..ALTHOUGH MY HUBBY ALWAYS DOES...I TEND TO WEAR REALLY DAGGY CLOTHES SO IT DOESNT MATTER IF THEY GET DIRTY..BUT I ALWAYS HAVE TO HAVE MY HAIR TIED BACK (WITH LONG HAIR..I CANNOT STAND IT HANGING AROUND WHEN COOKING OR CLEANING..OR PLAYING TENNIS!!)...

I HAVE TAKEN A SIDE ON PHOTO (TO TRY TO DELETE AS MUCH OF ME AS POSSIBLE!! JUST TO SHOW THE GORGOEUS APRON HE SENT ME...ALSO USED THE MATCHING OVEN MITT..)..
I ACTUALLY RECEIVED A BIG BOX YESTERDAY ... AGAIN FROM JAPAN WITH CATH KIDSTON STUFF INSIDE...BUT IT WAS OF COURSE ANOTHER PRESENT FROM MY SON TO HIS NANNY FOR HER BIRTHDAY..SO I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT HE HAS SENT MUM...

AND THE REALLY FUNNY THING FOR ME TODAY WAS WHEN CHRISTIAN (19YO)..APPEARED FROM HIS BEDROOM RE STUDYING FOR HIS UNI EXAMS..SAW ME IN AN APRON FOR THE FIRST TIME..AND HE SAID .."WHAT IS THIS CATH KIDSTON STUFF..?? WHERE IS SHE FROM?? WHO IS SHE??...YOU ARE PARANOID ABOUT IT MUM??"...

WELL THE SUN HAS JUST APPEARED..AND THAT IS GREAT FOR THE RACES TODAY AT FLEMINGTON...THE SPRING RACING CARNIVAL IN MELBOURNE IS JUST A FANTASTIC EVENT..ALTHOUGH I HAVE TO ADMIT I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO THE RACES!!

ANYWAY...I HAD BETTER GO..I HAVE SOOO MUCH STUFF TO LIST ON EBAY SO AS IT WILL FINISH IN TIME FOR ME TO BE ABLE TO POST BEFORE A POSSIBLE/MAYBE!! WANT TO DO IT..TRIP TO VISIT SOMEONE/SOMEWHERE!!

PLUS I HAVE TO COOK SEVERAL HOMEMADE PIZZAS..FOR "GONZO" & HIS MATES!!

TAKE CARE EVERYONE...xx andrea

No more getting your son a drink either, he has younger legs than you, HE SHOULD BE GETTING YOUR DRINKS GRRRRRRRR.
