PINK POODLE IS "CRAFT CENTRAL"!!~~

Turning out to be not too bad a day here in Melbourne this afternoon, after a few cold days which I am NOT enjoying..

I have gone a tad "pyscho" re crafting for some reason??

Painted lots more pegs...made some fridge magnets...(EBAY stuff ONLY)...

Making LOTS MORE "french dictionary cards" (as I call them)..embellished with vintage crochet circles..

& LOTS of vintage music sheet & french dictionary inspired decor balls....~~

Dyeing LOTS of vintage crochet pillows & cloths...

Played around with trying to stiffen some doilies with a heavy sugar/water mixture...

still drying...but I THINK it is kind of working..?? per photos..

Next on my agenda is to make candles in gorgeous VINTAGE cups/saucers/glass jars etc (per last photo)...~~~~~~

I think I am kind of in a bit of a panic mode as I , along with some other blogging buddies, are exhibiting again at the wonderful "SHABBY VINTAGE JUNK" extravaganza organised by Tamarah..

We had the FIRST EVER ONE IN AUSTRALIA last August..

& it was such a success & a delight to participate in..

This up coming fair is on the 3rd/4th June ...

at the ASHBURTON scout hall..

soo all vic lovers of shabby/vintage/junk KEEP it in mind...

Even INTERSTATE ladies...

Well worth the trip to check it out..

this fair is purely vintage themed goodies....(NOT my painted pegs etc)..

BUT a TRUE VINTAGE inspired FAIR...

FRENCH CHIC WEDNESDAY...

I have been very busy today filling ebay orders for my SHABBY CHIC PINK/French stamped pegs...

Plus I have been busy making some French inspired gift tags...

given them a light coat of pink paint..

stamped with my some of my French themed stamps....

spray sealed & added a little bit of pink glitter on the end of the card..

Finished off with some ribbon..

& on the back I have applied a lovely sticker from the wonderful FRENCH GENERAL book of stickers which i have..

So one can write a message as a gift if needed..

BUSY BUSY wednesday..

& I still have LOTS of PEG MAGNETS to paint/make..!!

as WELL as making my vintage FRENCH dictionary inspired cards in a dress form and butterflies..

still to finish embellishing them with vintage crochet bits & bobs...

& little string with pegs with which to hang...

LOTS to do...especially with the NEXT SVJ fair in JUNE in Melbourne!!

& OF course a photo of SOOTY sleeping in his little basket whilst I am busy crafting~~~!!

MY SHABBY HALF PINK VINTAGE SUITCASE & MY GIVEAWAY WINNER!!~~

Well i have had a few days away with my husband in the lovely state of Queensland~~~

We spent some lovely time with our eldest son living up that way and whilst my hubby was attending some meetings in Brisbane, I met up with TWO gorgoeus fellow bloggers...

Pam from BAYSIDE ROSE....& Katherine from THE OLD BOATHOUSE...

we had a great chat & a laugh at the WAC over a GOOD coffee!!

In Katherine's stall at the centre I spied a lovely vintage suitcase which I intended to purchase..

BUT the GORGEOUS Katherine gave it to me as a pressie!!

HOW SWEET!!

It is half spray painted with a "horrible" pink...BUT i intend to make it over into a french chic theme..

HOWEVER...the dilemma was getting it back to Melbourne?? without having to post..

SOO i stuffed all my clothes and my carry bag I took up originally, as well as my LOTS of crochet goodies found on my little "op shop" trawling in qld..

& VOILA...it all packed in...

Finished off with a wonderful OLD leather BELT my son had just to keep it secure..

So I did look quite ODD carrying this half painted, shabby vintage PINK suitcase around the airport...

WHO CARES? i said to my quite embarrassed hubby & son...

I love VINTAGE junk & it shall accompany me whatever it takes!!!

KITCHEN HUTCH DECOR MAKEOVER TUESDAY!!~~

Wonderful HOT day here in Melbourne today..

(glad that Tuesday is NOT one of my tennis days as I would have FRIED!)...

But I am changing bits & bobs around my kitchen...

sick & tired of looking at it!!

So I have started with the bottom shelf of my kitchen hutch..

Putting all my caffe latte coloured plates & like coloured goodies in this section..

I have been able to place ALL my handmade recent goodies in this possie as well..from vintage paper covered "balls"/easter eggs/dressmakers dummy/alphabet letter....

I think they blend in quite well??

Anyway...still lots more to do...as the rest of the kitchen is in a MESS...

HOW MANY FOAM EASTER EGGS CAN ONE GIRL DECOUPAGE IN HALF A DAY??

Hi girls, well it is GRAND PRIX Sunday here in Melbourne~~~~

I am not really that interested in Formula One racing, but as BOTH my boys ARE & the fact that MR B has come home for the weekend to attend this race with his brother..

I do have to seem interested!!

(as I haven't seen eldest son since Christmas)...

So whilst sitting watching the pre race "stuff" on tv...with MY BOYS~~~

I covered, with the wonderful MOD PODGE....

28 x foam easter eggs...(2 x differing sizes)...

In CATH KIDSTON drawer liners...!!

It was actually quite nice covering these, as the liners have a beautiful fragrance which made the arduous task a LOT more pleasing~~~

So i am now totally "glued" out...

going to sit back & watch the race, seeing as both boys are in attendance there...
