THE "COOL OLD GUY" IS MY DAD~~ FEATURED AGAIN IN THE PAPER~~

Hi ladies~~~

Well i am back from an AWESOME week in Japan~~~

whilst sitting in the lounge waiting for my flight home yesterday, i was reading the Melbourne paper...
"The Herald Sun"....

& to my HUGE SURPRISE my AWESOME 88 yo dad was featured on the 13th?? page...

I got such a SHOCK....!!

DAD didn't tell me he was going to be in the news..../paper...

AHH!!~~ my phone was flat & I couldn't ring anyone....

SOO my 88 yo dad (whose knee had been broken etc re previous posts)...

IS BACK fighting FIT & well & swimming...

So this news article is for him being the ELDEST competitor in the upcoming "PIER TO PUB" swim...
THE world's LARGEST ocean swim..

This is DAD's 10th consecutive swim....
(he has been featured before on the front page of "THE AGE" newspaper back in 2009)...

GO DAD....!!!

HE IS A LEGEND!!~~~~~~

DONNA HAY'S magazines are ALWAYS a delight which i look forward to purchasing..
                 (I have actually bought EVERY SINGLE issue since its inception)

They are always FULL of beautiful photographs, ideas/styling .. NOT to mention the recipes...!!!

As usual, the LATEST XMAS issue is a real delight, inspiring me to COOK lots of gorgeous goodies for Christmas...

The magazines' photos and styling would HAVE to be one of THE BEST (if not THE BEST) in the world...

I am showing some photos, of some of the MANY gorgeous goodies/photos/recipes in this latest wonderful issue...

SUNDAY'S AFTERNOON GIRLS "TEA PARTY"...~~~

Today i am hosting 10 lovely "girls" for a luncheon/tea party ~~~

I am now ready & just waiting for their arrival...

"SOOTY" (my 12 yo blind toy poodle) is resplendent in his little blue bow~~~

Table is set, with some lovely PINK hydrangeas i picked from our garden...

I have placed them in a lovely old shabby blue/white ROSES tin, which matches my vintage blue roses tablecloth~~

some different candles burning...

Buntings hanging...I have actually hung lots of my "CARDS" i made in between the blue bunting...

Chairs i have repainted & re upholstered....($4.00 op shop finds)..

Little stool re upholstered..(op shop find)...

Blackboards with greetings & menu...

ALL my hand cooked food ready to be eaten (we hope))....& sandwiches...

LOTS of SHABBY CUPCAKES~~??  ALL made & decorated by me...

Gerberas & tulips & roses abound... 

so I am looking forward to a lovely afternoon with lovely ladies...

as THIS TIME next week i shall be in the AIR jetting off to JAPAN!!~~~
