SATURDAY'S PROJECTS..VINTAGE BOOKS/FRENCH DICTIONARY PAGES??~

Well it has been a very humid kind of hot day here in Melbourne..

I have been busy getting my ebay store up & running again as i have been a bit slack the past few weeks.

so today has been a bit of a VINTAGE BOOK...VINTAGE frame...VINTAGE french dictionary theme...

Whatever!!~~

FRIDAY HAS BEEN VINTAGE CROCHET DOILEY DAY!!~~

Hi ladies...hoping you all have a productive weekend finding lots of gorgeous goodies!!~~

Today I have been busy dyeing my vintage array of crochet cloths/doilies and then cutting them up into useful circles!!

And i made a little doiley crochet "bunting" with some vintage buttons and lace...

(this is just one little runner which I have folded in half and added some vintage buttons & lace...)..!

Better get back to listing ebay goodies..& cooking roast chook for dinner~~~

LOVELY GIFTS FROM MY BLOGGING BUDDIES~~~

Yesterday I hosted a "blogging luncheon" for some gorgeous ladies I have met through "blogland"....

We all had a lovely time chatting and eating and talking about VINTAGE/SHABBY/CHIC/JUNK/HARD RUBBISH/BLOGGING..~~~~

It was lovely to share a lunch with "like minded" women...

ALL inspirational & ALL just a delight to count as a friend..

So I thank the ladies for coming & bringing me such GORGEOUS little pressies!!

Tamarah (shabby vintage junk)..

brought me a scrumptious vintage crochet tablecloth...

Alicia (time worn style)...

brought me her gorgeous coloured hydrangeas from her garden...

Gail (originals by gail & tony McCormack)...scrumptious personalised soaps..

Alison Gibbs..one of her exquisite knitted wrist bands...

Shelley (no blog..LURKER!!)...PINK champagne!!~~

I decorated the table in a "French" theme...

made a BONJOUR bunting...& added little touches to make it a SPECIAL day for the girls..

I think this may have to become a regular "get together"???

okay...off to do some more creations...or trying!!~~

VINTAGE FRENCH INSPIRED EASTER EGGS & PEGS..~~~

I have had a busy Sunday afternoon making my vintage "music" & "french" themed easter eggs...~~

Also making a few more different french inspired dolly pegs..

ALL goodies made with scraps from a gorgeous big vintage FRENCH dictionary & music sheets..

embellishing with a bit of lace from an old ENGLISH card full of lace..

I found LOTS & LOTS of gorgeous vintage goodies on my Saturday outing yesterday...

but these will be shown on later posts.....

too tired to photograph after covering ALL these eggs today!!~~

(took me a few hours & my back was killing me standing up for sooooo long!!)...

LOTS OF FRENCH "STAMPING" THIS FRIDAY~~!!

Well it is hard to believe another week has literally flown by again~~~~

Friday has been another very HUMID day here in Melbourne and after my hour of full on tennis running around the court, I kind of find it hard to do anything much else for the rest of the day...

(motto should be: don't run around like a lunatic in the heat when one is approaching 54 yrs old~~)..

x 3 times per week...

x 60 minutes...

x solo lessons...

(but the "old" girl JUST LOVES IT!!)...

anyway, so this afternoon I have been busy stamping some butterfly cards I made...

some dolly pegs..

some normal pegs...

There is a reason behind all of this stamping madness......not just to sell on ebay....~~~~~

(may have something to do with a little get together next week re some girls!!)...

PLUS I finished the lovely big frame (looks much smaller in the picture for some reason)..

finished painting/sealing etc...(nothing inside yet)..

I actually quite like these frames just left like that...NOTHING inside???..

anyway...off to do some MORE stamping & buying MORE French stamps to add to my collection..

have a fab weekend...

GORGEOUS VINTAGE GILT OP SHOP FIND ...PAINTING IT!!~~

Hi ladies, well a thundery old humid afternoon here in Melbourne..

I was happy i got my tennis in this morning..

This afternoon i have been painting a very nice & quite big gold/gilt frame I purchased from the op shop last week for $8.00..

I have removed the glass & the print...& am in the midst of painting it mixed shades of dulux white/antique white etc..

Am tempted to put a blackboard in its frame??

I am also white washing some more chic dolly "pegs"...ready to stamp with my french range of stamps..

and playing around with "dressing up" my wire dressmaker's dummy!! with left over crochet cloth & hessian....& some pearl strands or 4~~~!!

in between cooking MR C & myself 'chow mein" for dinner...

so another busy day...lots more tomorrow!!~~

TUESDAY'S SHABBY VINTAGE CHIPPY PINK BLACKBOARD!!~~

Hi ladies..

Picked up today my little blackboard I made the other day..

I had to get the backing & the hangers put in place from my local framing shop....

Nice OLD vintage GOLD frame which I painted white/pink...sanded back..sealed..& inserted a little blackboard..

Can be hung vertical or horizontal..

CUTE goodie for the kitchen?? or girlie study/work room?? whatever!!

I just have to get around to listing it on ebay!!~~~
