GORGEOUS MIXED CROCHET MEDALLIONS!!~~& I AM OFF TO JAPAN~~~

Well i took dad to the surgeon this last thursday..
His knee is healing slightly, but still in a splint for another 4 weeks.....


TIME flies, as it is 7 weeks since dad tripped & split his knee cap...


SOO of course i am home taking care of dad~~!!


AND dyeing & cutting up LOTS & LOTS of crochet cloths~~


lots & lots of lovely medallions ~~~


All listed on my ebay site...


It gives me a good excuse to sit & cut up cloths whilst looking after my gorgeous 88 yo dad!!~~

PS....I will be going to JAPAN in MID DECEMBER for 5 days to visit MR B....
(MR C will be looking after dad if he still needs it!!)..~

BIRTHDAYS!!!~~CRAFTING~~~COOKING~~ ALL HAPPENING~~~

So I have been very busy with LOTS & LOTS of "STUFF" (as i call it~~)..


Lovely dad is still staying with us in his splint...
I take him for x rays tomorrow (wed) & to his surgeon on thursday , to see if his knee cap has mended itself...


SOO ALL FINGERS crossed...


So in between looking after dad, I have been doing my usual...~~


Dyeing LOTS of crochet medallions for my ebay site..!~~


Painting & stamping LOTS of "dolly pegs"~~~~


stamping lots of my " gift tags" with a FRENCH CHIC theme..


french stamping some nice pink material "petals"~~


My mum is 89 yo tomorrow (2nd nov)...
So i am busy preparing to make some cupcakes for her...


PER frankie mag & recipe..(photos)..


And I am ready to makeover a GORGEOUS RETRO cane MIRROR which i purchased in a BLUE..


MMm~  shall paint PINK???

FRENCH CHIC CARDS...JEANNE D'ARC MAGAZINES & DAD'S BIRTHDAY~~~

Well it has been a while since I did a little bit of a post~~


Dad is still staying with us, with his knee in a brace and unable to bend it..
We see his surgeon early November, so FINGERS crossed the knee cap (patella) should have healed naturally~~


If not, surgery is in order but we are ALL thinking POSITIVE thoughts~~


Dad is 88 yrs old this saturday (15th October)..so i have arranged for a few of his friends for lunch...
Dad has NO IDEA...so he will be wondering why i am cooking so much stuff on saturday morning??~


ALAS...I have an excuse...


It is also my birthday...(cough cough..splutter...54 yo YOUNG)~~  
SO i intend to tell dad I am cooking for MYSELF~~~


I have been making some FRENCH CHIC inspired cards today to sell on my ebay site...


And if you LOVE JEANNE D'ARC magazine.....


I have the LAST TWO editions available in my ebay store...


with the FABULOUS CHRISTMAS edition due to arrive on my doorstep mid/late NOVEMBER..

LOOKING AFTER MY GORGEOUS 88 YO DAD THIS SUNDAY...!~

Well my wonderful/gorgeous 88 yo dad took a bit of a "tumble" this past week...

He has had TWO NEW KNEES replaced over the past 2 years, and was doing wonders...~~

Swimming 3 kms EVERY morning...DOING all THE BIG BAY swims in MELBOURNE over summer..PIER TO PUB etc...(he is THE LEGEND!!)...

BUT he fell over a little step into a business here in our town..this past Tuesday..

& fell heavily on one knee...

BROKEN his patella...(knee cap...sliced in half...per X RAY.)..

SO dad is prostate....RIGHT LEG STIFF in a brace...staying with ME..(& rest of family)..

This is for 6 weeks...!!!~~  so NO swimming..no driving..NO NOTHING for DAD~~

Hopefully the knee will bind/mend...otherwise a BIG OPERATION...hope this doesn't need to happen again at his age....

So i am busy looking after dad..(he eats like a horse!!  thats good)....

 He is lazing around on the couch!!~

ps..the sad thing is I had dad booked to attend my eldest sons graduation in 2 weeks....interstate.

dad cannot go...

& he cannot tend his big veggie patch...

Oh well....as i said ...he could have hit his head and been soo much worse off??
